I decided to give this crochet cable scarf a try, I like it so far, but just haven't had much time to work on it. Hopefully tonight after I put baby to bed I'll be able to do some hookin'!

The rubber ducky obsession continues, I just received a package with the bubble bath confetti that I bought the other day. Later on, I will put them in little bags to go with the other party favors. This is just too much fun! heheeh

Hope you guys have a fabulous weekend!

Today I received the little ducky soaps that I traded with another etsy seller for two of my neckwarmers. Aren't they just adorable?? (Well, I think they are!)

I have another etsy seller machine embroidering a little ducky onto washcloths, so that will be part of the party favor box that will be given on Lucas' 1st birthday. Can you tell that I am a "little" obsessed with the party planning? LOL

I started crocheting a scarf, but I'm not even going to show you because is one of those that I have made many times, even the color is the same... so, when I have something new, I'll let you guys know.

Cheers!

Crocheting for a good cause

I love being busy, it seems like I get so much done, it makes me happy and it's rewarding. Even more rewarding is to be able to help a good cause in this case - Interstitial Cystitis, so if you want, you can be part of this and help too. Just visit Gloria's blog for information on where to find the pattern, what type of yarn should be used, etc.
These squares are fun to make (you can make plain ones too!) and they have been a nice break from the neckwarmers. Talking about neckwarmers, I finished the 2 that I will trade for the rubber ducky soaps - phew!

Have a great week everyone!

Hello my friends!

First I would like to apologize for not blogging very often lately, but I have been really pressed with time. I received a custom order for 28 neckwarmers (which I am really happy about) and I have been using every little spare minute that I have trying to fulfill it. So far I have made 13 neckwarmers, 12 of them were black, so I would say that the hardest part is done! LOL

I also have found a nice etsy seller that agreed to do a trade with me, she is going to make rubber ducky soaps for me to give as party favors, and I will send her a couple of neckwarmers - which I still have one to make! I know, I know, call me funny, call me weird... but I already have Lucas' first birthday party planned (in my head! LOL). I've decided that the theme will be rubber ducky, so I went ahead and bought ducky cup cake toppers and now will do the trade I just mentioned. Well, I figured that if I start planning it now, we won't have to spend a lot of money when time comes, so that's that.
Oh boy, I have so many crochet projects to show you guys, things that I made before I started with the neckwarmers. I promise I'll take pictures of them to show you soon. Most of the projects are scarves that I made to have them displayed at my mother-in-law's booth at the fair next month, I really need to find time to build inventory for that, but I am confident I will be able to do that.

Another thing, I entered my upcycled crochet rug to the EstyHookers Team Challenge, so I would really appreciate if you could pop over there and vote for me! Just click here. Thank you in advance!

Have an awesome week everyone!

My second knitted scarf is not finished yet, but it's getting there, just not too much time to craft and when time comes, sometimes other things come first, like these little flowers that I made for an alchemy that I bid on.

Well, I am still trying really hard to lose weight, but I have reached the point where you get stuck and stop losing weight, I won't give up though, I have increased the work out a little bit and have been using sweetener instead of sugar in my morning coffee. Wish me luck!
Have a great one!

Hello there!

How have you guys been? I hope everyone is doing simply great!

Well, the weather has changed here, it is now the normal Pacific Northwest weather, wet and cold, but that is okay, it's part of living here. The trees are so beautiful with the mixture of green, yellow and orange leaves, and I love looking at them, in fact I should get some pictures taken some time.

This week I started taking baby Lucas to swimming lessons, and I'm so happy about it, he loves the water and has tons of fun. We also have been attending meetings for moms and babies, I found a neat group on meetup.com and it is just wonderful!
Oh, no crochet work to show you today, but I have this knitted scarf instead, yes, you read correctly KNITTED... LOL, as you all know I don't really like to knit, but boy, I have always been a fan of this scarf pattern, I have made tons of it in the past and retired it for awhile, but decided to make some more and I am loving it! I have another one just like this in progress right now, and that will go to the fair in November.
How do you like it?

Cheers!
